The advantages of wireless microphones are
obvious – no cabling, complete freedom of movement and expression. The
disadvantages are also obvious in many systems designed to be “affordable”.
Poor quality VHF wireless transmission is prone to interference, signal breakup
or complete drop-out when used around other electrical equipment or when the
transmitter and receiver are moved any distance apart. Low quality sound can be
due to the use of cheap microphone capsules, in order to meet the price. Evolution
wireless requires no such compromise to provide you with a professional quality
wireless microphone, and yet you won’t believe the
price.
Like
all Evolution wireless systems, the rugged metal housing of Evolution
100 Series ensures it can withstand the rigors of life on the
road. Evolution 100 Series’ tough build quality comes with a
whole lot more… great handling, simple, easy-to-set controls,
and a design that reflects its stature as a serious professional
instrument. Evolution 100 Series transmitters and receivers
offer four pre-selected switchable UHF frequencies for simple
set-up and operation; while additional channels can be selected
and set manually in increments of 25 kHz for extra versatility. |

Which
Set for Which Performance?
Wireless microphone operation requires a transmitter and a receiver.
Beyond this, increasingly complex set-ups can be configured depending on
the task to hand, whether it’s for a band, theatre company, the cast of
a musical, or a presentation. Every application requires its own
individual combination of microphones, transmitters, antennas and
receivers.
Example
1: Vocals with Handheld Microphone
For
straightforward on-stage vocal work, simply choose one of the
dynamic or condenser handheld microphones for the particular sound
and signal pick-up pattern you require. The complete set-up
includes a fixed receiver and AC adapter, plus battery, antenna
and microphone clamp.
Example
2: Vocals or Instruments with Lavalier Microphone
Where a performer or speaker needs free use of both hands, attach
the lavalier microphone to costume or clothing. The mic can also
be positioned on any number of acoustic instruments – electric
instruments plug directly into the bodypack. Set-up includes a
fixed receiver and bodypack transmitter, AC adapter, battery,
antenna, lavalier or headset microphone or guitar cable.

3: Vocals with Headset
For music and maximum movement – with the total freedom of a
feedback-free microphone/headset that allows the user to sing and
dance, run, jump, work out… you name it. The set also includes a
fixed receiver, a miniature bodypack transmitter, batteries and
antennas.
Example
4: From Wired to Wireless, without Changing Your Favourite
Microphone
Convert any wired microphone into a wireless microphone to give
you total mobility whether you’re in the studio or on stage.
This ingenious system consists of a plug-on high quality,
miniature transmitter which connects easily to the end of any
normal microphone in place of the cable. The set-up also includes
a fixed receiver, AC adapter, battery and antennas.
