The Zoom H4 is a high-quality MP3/WAV recorder that will suit both audio professionals as well as musicians. Audio recorded in the H4 is stored as stereo files directly onto removable Secure Digital cards, allowing for maximum flexibility in recording time. Many different format and quality modes are provided, ranging from 64~320kbps MP3 compression to 24-bit linear WAV format.

Record via built-in mic or external inputs
Need to record audio quickly and easily but without compromising professional
results? The H4 is equipped with a pair of electret condenser microphones for
quick and clean capture. It offers superior results from the internal microphones
because it is completely solid state and therefore silent. Just press the REC
button, the level indicator pops up on the display, and you're instantly ready
to record direct to the SD card.
There is even a built-in compression and EQ if required, prevent over recording
and distortion. The H-4 also lets you record audio through both external combo
sockets (XLR/1/4") with full phantom power for professional mics. Click

The H-4 is able to operate in four track mode enabling forur signals at CD linear
quality to be handled.
Take it anywhere
Robust, rugged and ready to travel, the H4 is built to withstand the rigors
of the road. Capture the sounds of nature, record live music, or plug it into
your studio gear or stereo for pristine playback and recording, the options
are vast. The H-4 runs on two AA batteries (4 hours) or from the included AC
adaptor. In addition to the headphone output and external audio inputs, the
R-09 can connect to computers via USB 2.0 for importing/exporting WAV / MP3
audio files and as an audiointerface.
