Eastern Electronics is a small UK family run firm completely focused on your total satisfaction. If you have any suggestions or comments please email us from our contacts page. Our telephone number is normally available 9:30 - 17:00 Monday - Friday and outside these hours for messages. We will endeavour to return your call during the next working day. If you have a complaint or other concern, please call us, or email us from our contacts page. Should you correspond with us via email we will endeavour to deal with your concern straight away but guarantee that you will be contacted within 2 working days. All matters will be dealt with in the strictest confidence. |
| Purchases
IMPORTANT Due to the current financial climate, prices quoted on the website may not be accurate. Customers ordering via the web will be contacted about any price or supply issues if there is a change to the advertised cost before any payment is taken. We accept payment via most credit and debit cards or by cheque. Card payment will enable us to ship your goods once authorisation has been obtained from the card issuer - usually on the same working day if your order is received before 12.00 hours. Making a purchase is simple. Just browse our website, click on any items you wish to buy or use the order form on our contacts page and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Go To Payments" and you will be asked for the details that we require to complete the transaction. Alternatively, we will gladly take your order by telephone on normal working days 9:30 - 17:00. If you wish to pay by cheque or bank transfer, please contact us for payment and shipping details and we will advise the total cost. Upon receipt of your cleared payment, your goods will be dispatched via the chosen delivery option. You have the right to cancel your order within 7 days for a full refund less carriage costs and providing the goods are unused in original packaging. Goods remain the property of Eastern Electronics until full cleared payment is received. Invoices. Terms of engagement (please read carefully) Our invoice terms on small amounts (up to £2000) are 14 days unless otherwise stated. On amounts above £2000, cleared payment will be required prior to delivery or commencement of work unless otherwise agreed (see individual estimate or invoice for details of any stage payment plan). Failure to pay within the quoted terms will result in a surcharge invoice of 10% of the total amount being raised. This is due to the current cost of short term borrowing through banks etc and is outside our conrol. Debts which continue beyond their terms may also attract a finance charge (based on 8% apr) at the discrecion of the proprietors. If your organisation is not able to operate within the 14 days requested, please call to inform us so that other arrangements can be agreed.. |
Quotations Any written quotations are based on the quantities and level of business of the requested goods. Any changes in either quantity or overall level of business will be re-quoted upon request. Quotations are valid for 28 days unless specified otherwise |
| Shipping
Standard Delivery to UK mainland is included in all prices above £30.00 inc unless otherwise displayed. Standard Delivery is 3 - 5 working days from the working day the order was received. Next Working Day Delivery to mainland UK is £5.99 inc. VAT up to 15 kg and £22.00 inc. VAT over 15 kg. Next Working Day Delivery is timed from the working day the order was received. Working days are Monday - Friday, excluding holidays. Orders received up to 14:00 will be processed that working day. If for any reason we cannot ship next day, shipping will be deducted and a call or email made to inform you. For items below £30.00 a delivery will be charge at the rate shown above, or less if available Non-mainland UK destinations are subject to different delivery charges and timing. Please contact us for details. Our services are UK only as we do not have any export facilities. We will try to reduce the shipping charge to reflect very low weight/value orders or high volume orders whenever possible. We reserve the right to manually reduce the carriage charge accordingly on your final invoice when we feel that this condition is met. The courier will require a signature for proof of delivery, so please make sure you will be in to accept delivery! |
| Delivery Schedule
If your items are in stock and when funds have been cleared, we will dispatch your order right away. We will send your order via the chosen option, however we cannot guarantee the efficiency of this external service which is beyond our control. We can usually track your order in cases of difficulty. |

If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. You will always be contacted with the option to cancel if you would rather not wait. |
| Tax Charges
For all orders 17.5% VAT is included in all prices displayed. VAT exempt or zero rated items excepted . VAT registration number 833 2083 51. |
Credit and Debit Cards When paying via credit and debit card, all credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our electronic transaction purchase system over the internet. We always check the authenticity of credit card and address information supplied to us and reserve the right to refuse orders at our discretion. We have a minimum order of £50.00 including VAT and shipping when using credit or debit cards. |
Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. All products carry the full manufacturer's warranty. All products, except secondhand and ex-demo goods, leave our warehouse as new and in full working order. Should you find the goods faulty within 7 days from the date of purchase we will arrange collection of the faulty goods and upon receipt, we will ship out a replacement or offer a refund. Please do not return faulty goods without first contacting us to obtain authorisation. Any goods returned for repair or replacement must be sent in the original condition, in all the original packaging and must include all accessories, cables and instruction manuals. Should any item of equipment fail through normal wear and tear during the guarantee period, Eastern Electronics will repair the unit free of charge and return it to the customer carriage paid. It is the responsibility of the customer to ship the faulty unit to our repair centre at the customer's expense. Eastern Electronics will not be liable for goods in transit from the customer to our repair centre. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. |

Eastern Electronics collects information from its customers during the ordering process only. This information, which is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, is the basic information that is vital to ensure correct selection and dispatch of the goods and services you have ordered. No third parties collect information on our behalf. Eastern Electronics does not disclose customer's information to third parties. Eastern Electronics does not use information given during ordering to enable us to send mass marketing material to the customer. |
