The Marantz Professional PMD 671 is the latest generation solid state recorder, recording audio directly as .WAV or .MP3 files to Compact Flash or Microdrive storage formats, which can then be inserted directly into a computer for editing and distribution. Building on the worldwide success of the first generation recorders, the PMD671 specification has been optimized, refined, and extended beyond that of the PMD 670 (including 24bit 96kHz) and adding a whole range of additional features requested by users.
