What does it do? PF Magic (tm) allows you to automatically PF items from your playout system (Autoplus, Myriad, Simian and others) onto your desk without the worry of choosing the correct channel to prefade. It simply does it for you!
Just connect PF Magic to your PC using the supplied USB cable and connect it to your desk bus cable (by soldering or with a suitable connector). Set up the sound card in Windows, and route your PF audio to it (and any other audio sources you require to 'hear' but not 'broadcast') and thats done. The module is small enough for most desks (S2, Airmate, Axel and others) such that it simply fits between the channels, connected to the bus, with a USB cable through a convenient hole in the back! It draws no power from the desk, and very little from the PC, hence less than 1W of heat, so no problem there. When you prefade audio in your playout system, the desk will simply go into PFL and give audio on speakers, headphones, meters etc. Stop the PF, and all goes back to normal. No more broadcasting undesired sounds. Simples!
