Airmate (left) and basic remote leads

The wired remote for the MD-350 makes this very cost effective rack mountable two-track minidisc system, operate from any closing contact. Wiring is included to allow 'PLAY' 'PAUSE' 'STOP' and 'RECORD' to be accessed by switch closure from remote starts on most desks including our favorite Airmate. The cable comes in several versions. The basic lead simply presents the contacts on a 15p male D-type. The Airmate version plugs directly into the 1/4" socket. A loop through lead is available on the D-type version allowing a keyboard to be connected at the same time for complete functionality.

Also now available is the CD160 remote. This nifty little gadget has an IR LED which is held on the front of the machine using a velcro patch. A 5Vdc supply is required to drive the electronics in the D-type. Two pairs of contacts provide inputs for 'PLAY' and 'PAUSE'. The unit makes the CD160 a very cost effective rack mountable CD Player. Other versions of this device to drive any IR controlled unit are available on request, but we may have to borrow your remote control to build them! Please call for more details.
